Blogging Squared is a young, energetic web development company located in Ottawa and Toronto. We’ve developed a passion for building websites, focusing on accessibility and today’s web design standards.

Our services include:

Website Design & Development

We’re all about building beautiful websites that make clients happy. Not just you, the client, but your customers, users and website visitors. We make websites that are easy to find, easy to navigate, and show off what makes you special or different from the competition. Sometimes this means building in social media stuff, making it easy for people to share your content with their friends. And sometimes it means creating stunning blogs or image galleries to showcase content and products.

SEO

Do you know what SEO (Search Engine Optimization) means? It’s one of those acronyms that web developers like to throw around. It may sound high tech, but the concept is simple. When we say we’re going to “optimize a website for search,” it means that we’re going to do some work behind the scenes to make it easier for search engines (like the almighty Google) to find your website and categorize your content. We optimize all of the websites we build, helping our clients to rank higher for relevant search terms, and making it easier for people to find them.

WordPress

WordPress is an open source content management system or, as the web savvy say, CMS. Most people associate it with being a blogging platform, but it’s also a great foundation for custom websites.

We have been working with WordPress for the last five years and consider ourselves experts. There are other options out there, like Drupal, Expression Engine and Movable Type. We’ve tried them, but WordPress is our CMS of choice (though we can work with existing sites built on these platforms). We build websites on WordPress, create custom plug-ins, and offer WordPress training.

Even if you’re not a webmaster and don’t know anything about HTML, you can use WordPress to create, modify and remove content from your website. And guess what this means? Fewer dollars spent on paying a web developer to maintain your website. Don’t get us wrong, we’re happy to help with content updates. It’s just that we have more fun designing and building special features into our websites.
